iPhone guide to setup Centurylink mail

1 Open 'Settings', click on 'Passwords & accounts' and 'Add account'.

Click on your provider name if it's listed, otherwise click on 'Other'

2 Make sure 'Email' is checked and click 'Save'.

Your email account is now saved. In the next steps we check if all settings are correct.

3 Click on your newly created email address and choose 'Advanced'. Make sure that the following data is correct under 'Incoming server':

Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 993

4 Go back to the previous screen and under 'Outgoing server' click on pop.centurylink.net. Make sure the following information is correct:

Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 143

I have an address of centurytel.net instead of centurylink. I have an Iphone 6S and have been receiving email on my phone under incoming server mail.so.centurytel.net for years with no problem and still have no problem. My outgoing server for a long time was cwmx.com. That failed to work and I was told to use smtp.centurylink.net which does not work. I get the message that the server does not allow relaying. Now this information says to use the pop information for incoming and outgoing servers. PLEASE NOTE MY EMAIL USES CENTURYTEL IF THIS MAKES ANY DIFFERENCE. I am frustrated and feel that no one really knows how to help me. I don't want to make it worse and lose my incoming email even though I cannot send any emails out. Can anyone help me in person at any location?

Please provide current and correct instructions for setting up iPhone 7 running iOS 11.4.1 to receive email from centurylink.net. The incoming and outgoing mail servers and port numbers vary from webpage to webpage and I cannot get the inbox to match what I see on my desktop running Outlook.

I have a I phone 7 that I just updated ios 12 software. I cannot reply to any group emails or texts without getting an error message. I don't see any instructions

i get an error message saying xxxxx@yahoo.com was rejected by the server because it does not allow relaying. please help. I put xxxxx's in place of person's name for security reasons.
