Network Solutions email settings for iPhone

iPhone guide to setup Network Solutions mail

1 Open 'Settings', click on 'Passwords & accounts' and 'Add account'.

Click on your provider name if it's listed, otherwise click on 'Other'

2 Make sure 'Email' is checked and click 'Save'.

Your email account is now saved. In the next steps we check if all settings are correct.

3 Click on your newly created email address and choose 'Advanced'. Make sure that the following data is correct under 'Incoming server':

Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 995

4 Go back to the previous screen and under 'Outgoing server' click on smtp.[domain].com. Make sure the following information is correct:

Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 587

  • this setup does not jive up with reality, i don't have a pop3 to chose from, it's pop or imail i can log in on a pc using all the same info, but cannot from my phone browser or my email app.......do you guys not like iphones?

  • Outgoing mail will only work with downloading a profile, so the certificate is always trusted, or setting up the account as a pop account.

  • I set up my two (network solutions) emails on my iphone as pop accounts, as instructed. Unfortunately this prevents me from being able to see sent emails - I cannot access a sent folder like I can for my gmail accounts, which are IMAP. Can I set these up as IMAP? How can I resolve?
