iPhone guide to setup AT&T mail

1 Open 'Settings', click on 'Passwords & accounts' and 'Add account'.

Click on your provider name if it's listed, otherwise click on 'Other'

2 Choose 'Add mail account', and enter the following information:

Name: your own name
Email: your AT&T email address
Password: your AT&T email password
Description: a personal description

3 Choose imap and enter the following details under 'Incoming mail server':

Username: your AT&T email address
Password: your AT&T email password

4 Under 'Outgoing mail server' enter the details below and choose 'next':

Username: your AT&T email address
Password: your AT&T email password

5 Make sure 'Email' is checked and click 'Save'.

Your email account is now saved. In the next steps we check if all settings are correct.

6 Click on your newly created email address and choose 'Advanced'. Make sure that the following data is correct under 'Incoming server':

Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 993

7 Go back to the previous screen and under 'Outgoing server' click on Make sure the following information is correct:

Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 465

8 Choose 'Done' at the top right and restart the iPhone to activate the settings.

Congratulations, your account is now set up. Open the mail app to use your account.

  • My iPhone I purchased with everything on it, especially 200gb, plus an extended warranty that cost over $1400 dollars and I had so many issues that a technical support team with a large news source that has hundreds of thousands of subscribers, were late receiving the new source because I called them for help, and they were able to determine that my iPhone had malware built into it. My concerns were ignored by Apple and no matter how many times we tried to ameliorate the problems that were a manufacturing problem with the contractor whose in business with Apple, has been non responsive with this untenable situation. Because I wrote an email to Apple about not having any service at all for over five and a half months, and no matter how many times I attempted to try to have something done to fix the problems, I was ignored; blocked; and one time I reached a number that rang, it was a porn site... and it was exactly the number that Apple had on their literature for their customers, no matter that we have purchased Apple iPhones since they were first offered to the public, and of course laptops, iPads, and between the both of us we have purchased nine iPhones from Apple Stores or online, and only brand new never been used before, they didn't give a second thought about the customer who has spent thousands and thousands of dollars on devices that don't work, and has done to me/us in the most egregious way ever imagined. The money for the last 8 Plus has been unusable for approaching over five months without any other way to reach outside help if an emergency has been an event, they by their own personal outrageous behaviors, have violated the warranty with their unbelievable actions. We are going to an attorney who specializes in this horrific situation with companies that are unethical and lacking integrity especially, along with a personal high numbers of single suits against Apple. We are going to be optimistic about our outcome, based on the amount of these serious concerns about this company, for many other individuals who have received their money, and much more because of how judges are sick and tired of this type of situation that has become so often for so many people because Apple doesn't care about anyone or anything, greed is all they appear to be introduced in solely!
