Suddenly unable to receive or send email via Outlook. What to do? Help!!!!!!!
3 years agoSuddenly stopped receiving or being able to send email via MS Outlook using Verizon.net email address. Vzn tech said email provider is Yahoo. Changed posed Used all possible settings. Still getting error can’t find email server.
3 years agoThank you. The web mail security settings to generate a new password for Thunderbird worked like a charm. The end of two months of frustrating experimentation.
4 years agoMy email suddenly stopped working through Outlook 2-days ago and none of these settings work. I keep getting the error "We couldn't log onto the incoming (POP) server. Have these settings changed in the last 2-days? This is the second time this has happened--really frustrating!!
4 years agoThis is infuriating! Must be nice to sell a service at a significant expense and not provide that service. Haven't been able to get my email since 3/17, unless I log onto the Fios/Yahoo portal through my browser, which is just impractical! I've changed my password and attempted numerous times to reinstall Fios email account within my Outlook application. I'm not sure Fios would be as patient as they are asking us to be if we withheld payment for the service they are supposed to be providing!
4 years agoI need help to reset my password because my have my email has been messed up I need to get into work so I can get a new password
4 years agoYes, the suggestion of going to the Yahoo web and get a password generated for Outlook 2016/365 mail does work. Like others it did not for iOS mail. HOWEVER. I deleted my Verizon/Yahoo accounts in iOS and rebuilt them by using iOS eMail Yahoo option and signing in using my Yahoo account logon. THIS WORKED. You do lose your old history but in my case that's in Outlook anyway and is just wastest storage space on my iPhone/iPad.
4 years agoYup, like someone mentione in Yahoo webmail going to account settings, then security and at the bottom manage app password. You now need to generate a password per app/device. Once window is closed you can no longer see these passwords. Worked like a charm, thanks everyone for this info! I've been thinking something similar has happened but no info came from Yahoo or Verizon, VZ tech support had no idea about this. I looked in security thinking they did something similar to Gmail blocking other clients but their naming was less than obvious.
4 years agoCan anyone tell me if there are new email settings for accessing yahoo.email.verizon.net on a MAC or iphone? Thank you
