Set up iPhone Centurylink

1 Choose settings

2 Scroll down and choose Mail, Contacts and Calendars

3 Tap Add account and select Other

4 Tap Add Mail Account and enter the following information:

Name: your name
Email: your Centurylink email-address
Password: your Centurylink email-password
Description: enter "Centurylink"

5 Choose pop3 under incoming mail server and enter the following information:

Hostname: pop.centurylink.net
Username: email
Password: your email-password

6 Scroll down and under outgoing mail server, enter the following information:

Hostname: pop.centurylink.net
Username: email
Password: your email-password

7 Tap save and in select your emailadress in the next screen.

8 Scroll down and under outgoing mail server choose SMTP.

9 Under Main server select pop.centurylink.net and make sure the following information is displayed:

SSL: none
Serverport: 143

10 Tap done and go to the previous screen. Choose Advanced and make sure the following information is correct:

SSL: ssl
Serverport: pop.centurylink.net

11 Again, go back to the previous screen. Restart your iPhone to finish the setup!

  • I got a new i phone yesterday and no e mails are coming in on this new phone. My phone provider tried several times today to correct this, but gave up, telling me I need to set up a different e mail address. I cannot understand why I received e mails on my old phone and can't on this one. I don't think I should have to set up a new address, particularly since I had this before. hat is the solution to this problem? After reading comments, this seems to be a common problem.
