Android guide to setup Outlook mail

1 Open your Email application from the menu, add a new account and choose 'Other'.

If you do not have an account yet, you can start setting up right away. Otherwise, open 'Settings' in the email app and choose 'Add account'.

2 In the next screen enter your account details and click on 'Login':

Email: your Outlook email address
Password: your Outlook email password

3 Choose% type% and enter the following details under 'Server incoming mail':

imap server: outlook.office365.com
Security type: ssl
Port: 993

4 At 'Outgoing mail server' enter the details below and choose 'Login':

SMTP server: smtp.office365.com
Security type: tls
Port: 587

Verification for sending email: yes

Username: email
Password: your Outlook email password

5 Your account is now ready to use.

Congratulations, your account is now set up. Open the email app on your smartphone to use your email.

  • I have just purchased a new Android phone and I am attempting to add my email address to Outlook. Howver, I keep receiving mssage that certificate is invalid. And when I click on "Do you want to login anyway? I still cannot log in. I have tried to log in using both POPĀ£ and IMAP, both to no avail! I know the email address and password is correct as I can get to my emails via your webmail. Help needed please. Andrew britts, UK
