Android guide to setup Windstream mail

1 Open your Email application from the menu, add a new account and choose 'Other'.

If you do not have an account yet, you can start setting up right away. Otherwise, open 'Settings' in the email app and choose 'Add account'.

2 In the next screen enter your account details and click on 'Login':

Email: your Windstream email address
Password: your Windstream email password

3 Choose pop3 and enter the following details under 'Server incoming mail':

pop3 server: pop.windstream.net
Security type: none
Port: 110

4 Your account is now ready to use.

Congratulations, your account is now set up. Open the email app on your smartphone to use your email.

  • I am not getting this resolved. My phone is showing: user name:janet11 password is: Arlene2015, Incoming server: pop3 server, pop.windstream.net, security type: none, port: 110. Outgoing server: SMTP server, smpt.windstream.net, security type: none, port: 25 authentication required: checked user name: janet11@windstream.net password: Arlene2015 I still cannot get my email on my phone. It is saying: An incorrect username or password has been entered, or POP3/IMAP access is not turned on for this account. Check your account settings or contact your service provider." I contacted my provider, which is Windstream and they couldn't help me. Help! I just got a new phone and have always been on email on my previous phone. I had a Galaxy 4 and now have the Galaxy 7.
