Frontier email settings for iPhone

iPhone guide to setup Frontier mail

1 Open 'Settings', click on 'Passwords & accounts' and 'Add account'.

Click on your provider name if it's listed, otherwise click on 'Other'

2 Choose 'Add mail account', and enter the following information:

Name: your own name
Email: your Frontier email address
Password: your Frontier email password
Description: a personal description

3 Choose pop3 and enter the following details under 'Incoming mail server':

Username: your Frontier email address
Password: your Frontier email password

4 Under 'Outgoing mail server' enter the details below and choose 'next':

Username: your Frontier email address
Password: your Frontier email password

5 Make sure 'Email' is checked and click 'Save'.

Your email account is now saved. In the next steps we check if all settings are correct.

6 Click on your newly created email address and choose 'Advanced'. Make sure that the following data is correct under 'Incoming server':

Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 995

7 Go back to the previous screen and under 'Outgoing server' click on Make sure the following information is correct:

Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 465

8 Choose 'Done' at the top right and restart the iPhone to activate the settings.

Congratulations, your account is now set up. Open the mail app to use your account.

  • I have confirmed several times incoming and outgoing frontier email settings. I have deleted and re-entered my frontier email and it will not allow me to send an email from my iphone X and my ipad. I can received but a few weeks ago the outgoing stopped working on both devices.

  • Hi, Recently I have not been able to send email from my iphone X. I have not changed any settings and it did work before. I can receive email fine. I have checked the settings above including, Port 465 and SSL on. I also re-entered my password to be sure. Please help. John

  • I have done every step to the very end as listed above, four times. I have an iPhone X and when I use the email icon on the home screen it still doesn’t pick up my emails. It comes up with an error, after updating for new emails, saying to click details. When I do, it says to check all of the server settings. I have gone back and checked all the settings, including the server numbers. Everything is correct. Do you have any suggestions?
