Set up Android AT&T

1 Go to your mail app, choose settings and add a new email account.

4 Please enter your full AT&T email address and password. Then select "Manual Setup".

5 Enter the following information in the incoming settings screen:

Username: email
Password: uw email-wachtwoord
Incoming server: imap.mai.att.net
Incoming poort: 993
Security type: ssl

Choose 'next'.

6 Enter the following information in the outgoing settings screen:

Outgoing server: smtp.mail.att.net
Outgoing port: 465
Security type: ssl
Authorisation required: yes
Username: email
Password: your email-password

  • Your instructions are no longer correct for imap on bellsouth accounts. They don't work. The correct procedure is to use the yahoo email client but update the address with youraddress@bellsouth.net. Add your password and take the other yahoo defaults. Your in with full imap capability.
