Outlook guide to setup Comcast.net mail

1 Start Outlook and open 'Account Settings'.

Click on the file tab and in the 'Information' category click on 'Account Settings'

2 Create a new email account.

In the 'Email' tab, click 'New'

3 Enable 'Server Settings' and click Next.

Check 'Server settings'.

4 Congratulations, your account has been added!

Click on 'Test Account Settings'. If everything goes well, click on next and then on finish.

  • I am using outlook 7, the settings are incoming pop3 993 SSL outgoing 587 TLS. The problem I'm having is that I can send emails but I am not receiving emails from comcast. According to Comcast my numbers meets their criteria. I am getting an error message, "your incoming POP3 email server has reported an internal error.

  • I am using outlook email, the setting of outgoing mail server at (smtp.comcat.net) with port num 587 is not working ! the error is (550 5.1.0 Authentication required) !
