Android guide to setup Comcast.net mail
1 Open your Email application from the menu, add a new account and choose 'Other'.
If you do not have an account yet, you can start setting up right away. Otherwise, open 'Settings' in the email app and choose 'Add account'.
2 In the next screen enter your account details and click on 'Login':
Email: your Comcast.net email address
Password: your Comcast.net email password
3 Choose imap and enter the following details under 'Server incoming mail':
imap server: imap.comcast.net
Security type: ssl
Port: 993
4 Your account is now ready to use.
Congratulations, your account is now set up. Open the email app on your smartphone to use your email.

I just bought a samsung galaxy s7. I used your comcast settings andit says unable to connect to email server to verify my acct info. No response from server. I was abke to on my old samsung 3, cant do it on this one.

Did not work. What do you do now? Error when trying to connect to server..... Unable to connect to email server to verify your account information. No response from server.

But if I am not on Comcast's network smtp.comcast.net says my IP address can not send email. So what's the point if I can only send email from my phone when it has a Comcast IP address? What if I am not at home? The whole point of a getting my email on my MOBILE phone is to be able to send and receive email when I am not at home sitting in front of my computer.

Did not work. What do you do now? Error when trying to connect to server..... Unable to connect to email server to verify your account information. No response from server.

Keep trying to set up lg droid with email no get cannot connect, check network connections. Any suggestions
