Outlook guide to setup Comcast.net mail
5 Select Internet Email Addresses, click Next and enter the following data among user data:
Your name: Your full name.
Email Address: your Comcast.net email address.
6 In the box Type Account below Server Information, select imap and fill out the following information:
Incoming e-mail: imap.comcast.net
Incoming port: 993
Outgoing e-mail: smtp.comcast.net
Outgoing port: 587
7 Under Login Information fill in the following settings:
E-mail: your Comcast.net email-adress
Password: your Comcast.net email-password
Login with security: ssl

I am using outlook 7, the settings are incoming pop3 993 SSL outgoing 587 TLS. The problem I'm having is that I can send emails but I am not receiving emails from comcast. According to Comcast my numbers meets their criteria. I am getting an error message, "your incoming POP3 email server has reported an internal error.

I am using outlook email, the setting of outgoing mail server at (smtp.comcat.net) with port num 587 is not working ! the error is (550 5.1.0 Authentication required) !
