Outlook guide to setup Earthlink mail

5 Select Internet Email Addresses, click Next and enter the following data among user data:

Your name: Your full name.
Email Address: your Earthlink email address.

6 In the box Type Account below Server Information, select pop3 and fill out the following information:

Incoming e-mail: pop.earthlink.net
Incoming port: 995

Outgoing e-mail: smtpauth.earthlink.net
Outgoing port: 587

7 Under Login Information fill in the following settings:

E-mail: your Earthlink email-adress
Password: your Earthlink email-password

Login with security: ssl

  • This is the third time I've sent this message. I have an Earthlink account which I access via Outlook. About 2 hours ago it just stopped working, and I cannot send or receive my emails using Outlook, although some are still coming through on my Earthlink Webmail account. Please, can you help me?

  • I have an Earthlink account which I access on my computer and phone using Outlook. About 2 hours ago it just stopped working, and I cannot send or receive. A gentleman tried to help me, looking both at Outlook and Earthlink, but I'm afraid that we may have deleted my Earthlink account from Outlook. Whichever, I still cannot send or receive my emails.

  • I keep receiving a message that Outlook cannot connect to my incoming (POP3) email server. The Outlook message says connection to the server was interrupted. I have used my Outlook for years, to download my email messages from Earthlink and now cannot. This started in April 2021. My Outlook email is: tomgoldtooth@hotmail.com. There is no problem downloading my tomgoldtooth@hotmail.com emails. For the ien@igc.org (Earthlink), I use the Earthlink mail settings your web site recommends.

  • I lost my earthlink email (together.net) from my outlook during a recent update. I have tried the steps above, but the prompts do not correspond with what I actually get after changing the account settings to pop.earthlink.net. Outlook will not add this account, and keeps showing the same gray confirmation box without adding the account

  • I want to eliminate commercials on my email page. If I can't I may drop this service. I also find your notice to try the new email continually on top of all other notices annoying and in the way.
