iPhone guide to setup Centurylink mail

1 Open 'Settings', click on 'Passwords & accounts' and 'Add account'.

Click on your provider name if it's listed, otherwise click on 'Other'

2 Make sure 'Email' is checked and click 'Save'.

Your email account is now saved. In the next steps we check if all settings are correct.

3 Click on your newly created email address and choose 'Advanced'. Make sure that the following data is correct under 'Incoming server':

Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 993

4 Go back to the previous screen and under 'Outgoing server' click on pop.centurylink.net. Make sure the following information is correct:

Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 143

  • Hi, I have been having an issue with outgoing mail. I have an iPhone model 6 version IOS12.3.1. for years im unable to send mail. I have googled and tried everything list and nothing seems to work. Can you help me with this problem. thanks

  • I got a new i phone yesterday and no e mails are coming in on this new phone. My phone provider tried several times today to correct this, but gave up, telling me I need to set up a different e mail address. I cannot understand why I received e mails on my old phone and can't on this one. I don't think I should have to set up a new address, particularly since I had this before. hat is the solution to this problem? After reading comments, this seems to be a common problem.

  • My email—thru embarqmail.com—will suddenly not download to my iPhone and iPad. I also reset my iPad with no success. Also when you give settings for email accounts everything is “centurylink.net” and my settings have been embarqmail.com—for outgoing and ongoing “server”
