iPhone guide to setup Cox mail

1 Open 'Settings', click on 'Passwords & accounts' and 'Add account'.

Click on your provider name if it's listed, otherwise click on 'Other'

2 Make sure 'Email' is checked and click 'Save'.

Your email account is now saved. In the next steps we check if all settings are correct.

3 Click on your newly created email address and choose 'Advanced'. Make sure that the following data is correct under 'Incoming server':

Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 110

4 Go back to the previous screen and under 'Outgoing server' click on smtp.cox.net. Make sure the following information is correct:

Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 25

  • The email icon on my desktop disappeared. Now I have to go into the cox site to access my email. How do I reset the shortcut ( the yellow envelope icon)? so it appears along the bottom of my screen with other shortcut icons??

  • Good morning! I've created a secondary mailbox on my primary account "Busyallx@cox.net, however, I'm trying to either link the 2 email to one mailbox icon on my I-phone 6s device or create 2-different icons one for primary email "busyallx@cox.net and secondary 2019AZInternational@cox.net, any help would be appreciated.

  • I use to use G Mail and route my cox.net thru G mail for business reasons, now I am selling my business and could just use Cox Web Mail.. not via Gmail? I changed my password yesterday and now I have no e mails working, says wrong password? I have a Mac book pro, version Mohave 10.14

  • ON the fourth step on setting up my e-mail to my I Phone, it says Cox email password. Is that just my password I log in with and the same one I use on step five ? ( or is it my secondary password I use for Cox webmail?

  • I am having problems sending messages, my incoming and outgoing settings have pop.east.cox.net / smtp.east.cox.net with server port 465. these are different than the instructions above? should i add a new account using the above instructions (pop.cox.net and smtp.cox.net with SSL turned off and port 25 ?
