Outlook guide to setup 1and1.com mail

1 Start Outlook, click the File tab and click in the category information Account Settings

2 Click in the tab Email on New.

3 Switch on Server Settings and click Next.

4 Select Internet Email Addresses, click Next and enter the following data among user data:

Your name: Your full name.
Email Address: your 1and1.com email address.

5 In the box Type Account below Server Information, select imap and fill out the following information:

Incoming e-mail: imap.1and1.com
Incoming port: 993

Outgoing e-mail: smtp.1and1.com
Outgoing port: 587

6 Under Login Information fill in the following settings:

E-mail: your 1and1.com email-adress
Password: your 1and1.com email-password

Login with security: ssl

7 Click on Test Account Settings. If all goes well, click next and then finish.

  • Apparently for the last few days my emails have not been going out, I am receiving fine. I am using outlook 2007, I have been using for years, so now I am messing with the settings trying to get it to work and I am having no luck???
