iPhone guide to setup Charter mail

1 Open 'Settings', click on 'Passwords & accounts' and 'Add account'.

Click on your provider name if it's listed, otherwise click on 'Other'

2 Make sure 'Email' is checked and click 'Save'.

Your email account is now saved. In the next steps we check if all settings are correct.

3 Click on your newly created email address and choose 'Advanced'. Make sure that the following data is correct under 'Incoming server':

Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 993

4 Go back to the previous screen and under 'Outgoing server' click on mobile.charter.net. Make sure the following information is correct:

Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 587

the charter.net provided on this site are intended for use on the iphone using at&t network. these settings may not be compatible if the iohone is connected to a wi-fi network or other cellular network

I am having the same problem as so many others. An error message is popping up that Charter is only available on AT&T. Has anyone gotten an answer besides using the web browser?

my iphone will not send pictures. Message on bottom of phone just keeps saying "sending" whatever picture I'm trying to send and after awhile get message: "The SMTP server mobile.charter.net is not responding. Check your network connection and that you entered the correct information in the Outgoing Mail Server field." Can you help?
