iPhone guide to setup Mediacom mail

1 Open 'Settings', click on 'Passwords & accounts' and 'Add account'.

Click on your provider name if it's listed, otherwise click on 'Other'

2 Make sure 'Email' is checked and click 'Save'.

Your email account is now saved. In the next steps we check if all settings are correct.

3 Click on your newly created email address and choose 'Advanced'. Make sure that the following data is correct under 'Incoming server':

Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 995

4 Go back to the previous screen and under 'Outgoing server' click on mail.mediacombb.net. Make sure the following information is correct:

Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 465

  • email not working, I have now stumped 3 Apple tech support/guru people and still no email on my iPhone I see that outgoing email should be SMTP.mediacombb.net, SSL-On, Port 587 some state Port 465? A number of times I have deleted the account reset it up and find the Port changes to 25? Any Ideas solutions, I think I talked with Mediacom support and they made comment that the account will lock up if three unsuccessful attempts to log in are made, so how do you have time to change all passwords on a Macbook and iPhone ?
