Mediacom email settings for iPhone

iPhone guide to setup Mediacom mail
5 Choose 'Add mail account', and enter the following information:
Name: your own name
Email: your Mediacom email address
Password: your Mediacom email password
Description: a personal description
6 Choose pop3 and enter the following details under 'Incoming mail server':
Hostname: mail.mediacombb.net
Username: your Mediacom email address
Password: your Mediacom email password
7 Under 'Outgoing mail server' enter the details below and choose 'next':
Hostname: mail.mediacombb.net
Username: your Mediacom email address
Password: your Mediacom email password
8 Choose 'Done' at the top right and restart the iPhone to activate the settings.
Congratulations, your account is now set up. Open the mail app to use your account.

I have an iPhone X and I have the outgoing email server set as: smtp.mediacombb.net and get a message that says: Cannot Send Mail - the connection to the outgoing server "smtp.mediacombb.net" failed. Additional Servers can be configured for Mail accounts in Settings>Mail>Accounts - Am I using incorrect settings? Thank you!!

I got locked out of mediacom and had to get a new password. My laptop is working fine but I cant get my email or send email on my I phone and tablet. What do i need to do to fix this situation

I got a new iPhone in July and my Mediacom email never transferred over. I’ve tried several times to sign in to Mediacom on my laptop and sometimes my password works other times not. Now i’m Locked out. I looked up the process of adding the Mediacom email to my phone and I get the same result that my password is incorrect. I write my passwords down so I know it’s correct. I see in this forum that I am not alone in this mess. What’s going on?

Tried again as i have several times. still will not allow me to "send" either a new or a reply email.
